ST. LOUIS (AP) — Missouri’s health department reported 136 more confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the state’s total to 4,160 on Sunday.
The Department of Health and Senior Services reported 110 people have died from the virus in Missouri so far, up one from Saturday.
The uptick comes as places of worship grappled with how to handle services on Easter Sunday while following social distancing guidelines.
At Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Maryland Heights, the pastor printed out photos of his congregation and placed them throughout the pews, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
“It’s taken on the feel of a shrine for me,” the Rev. Bob Evans told the newspaper. “Not only do I feel the presence of God, but I feel the presence of all these friends and parishioners there. It’s beautiful.”
