Keep masks handy; reopening here begins May 18

CITY HALL – The city and county will start easing some public health rules on May 18, but our face masks will still be needed.

Mayor Lyda Krewson and St. Louis County Executive Sam Page announced Tuesday that restrictions would begin to be reduced starting on Monday, May 18.
That doesn’t mean, however, that our new social habits can be discarded. The new rules will still emphasize social distancing practices including wearing a mask, avoiding large crowds and staying home when possible.
Krewson’s office issued a statement Tuesday in which she promised “more detailed and industry-specific guidance for people and businesses” by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Krewson shared via Twitter a new city-themed face mask she was sent Tuesday.
Thanks to the fine folks at Great Knots  for this surprise in the mail! A COVID19 mask featuring the greatest municipal flag in America.”
