CITY HALL – In an election that mostly belonged to incumbents, three aldermen nonetheless got tossed out by challengers.
Twelve aldermen won another term Tuesday. However, James Page defeated 5th Ward Alderwoman Tammika Hubbard, 717 to 643, and Bill Stephens beat 12th Ward Alderwoman Vicky Grass, 1421 to 1,330. Thirteenth Ward Alderwoman Beth Murphy lost to challenger Anne Schweitzer, 1496 to 885.
And, in a race to replace retiring 17th Ward Alderman Joe Roddy, Tina Pihl narrowly beat Michelle Sherod, 1151 to 1132.

- 19th Ward, Marlene Davis, 1,014; Cleo Willis, 289.
- 21st Ward, John Muhammad, 1,031; Laura Keys, 655.
- 23rd Ward, Joseph Vaccaro, 2,750, unopposed.
- 25th Ward, Shane Cohn, 1,010, unopposed.
- 27th Ward, Pamela Boyd, 810; Chris Carter, 663.
